Film #5 Taxi To The Dark Side

Its late so please forgive such a brief post.

This is the first documentary I’ve seen this year and it was a hell of a one to start on. A sober and rather harrowing exploration of the United States treatment of prisoners during their campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan. A lot of the focus being on the death of an Afghan taxi driver named Dilawar. His wrongful arrest and subsequent torture and death are the basis for just how much mistreatment the US Military Police get away with under the guise of interrogation. The frank testimonies from everyone involved make for shocking and enthralling viewing.
